what's in your bag? round 3

In my last "what's in your bag" post, I showed you my Baggu duck bag. I also mentioned how I was lusting after this Baggu drawstring purse. Well, I finally purchased one! Even though I've used several purses since I last made a bag post, I thought it was only fitting that I make this my 3rd installation.

Baggu drawstring purse, made in NYC. Comes in black & natural. $140 at Baggu.com

I love this little leather bag! It's small, but still big enough to hold the essentials (including my phone, which is not pictured because I was using it to take the photos). My only gripe about it is that the drawstring doesn't stay pulled tight when you're wearing it unless you knot it. It's not a huge deal, but it does make it a little annoying when you want to grab your phone or chapstick really quick. Besides that, it's great! It's a simple purse, but it's unique shape can make even the most basic outfit look a little more stylish.

bags bags bags

Lately I've been obsessed with finding the perfect (yet affordable) bag. I know, I know, I should be buying presents for other people, but sometimes you just have to treat yo self. And I did, to that lovely Madewell tote in the right hand corner. What are your favorite every day bags/purses?

what's in your bag? round 2

You may recall (but probably not) that I did a "what's in your bag" post back in February. Well I just got my new Baggu bag in the mail the other day, so I thought I'd show it off!

Duck Bag in Coral, $24, from Baggu.
Bag contents - yellow shopping bag (folded into the pouch) by Baggu, Alternative Apparel zippered pouch for all my secret things+little things that I don't want swimming around on the bottom of my bag, envelope wallet from Hobby Lobby.

So far, I really love my new Baggu tote! The shoulder strap makes it more versatile, and the pocket on the inside of the bag is perfect for my chapstick and phone! I definitely would like to purchase another bag in a different color in the future. ALSO, check out their fabulous leather bucket bag:

Drawstring purse in Natural, $140. Also available in black.

Amazing, right?! If I ever have some spare money sitting around (which will be NEVER), I'm going to get one of these beauts.

remember postcards?

You know, those things we used to send our loved ones back home when we were on vacation? Although I still enjoy sending them, I feel like they, along with snail mail in general, are dying out. Why send a postcard when you can immediately send a picture of where you are via cell phones and email? Well.....BECAUSE POSTCARDS ARE COOL, OKAY?! And now there's an app that combines your cell phone pictures with a postcard, to create a Postagram! You can access Postagram through any Android or iPhone by downloading the app onto your phone. If you don't have either of those phones, you can even use the website to send cards. You pick a picture, add a message, and voila, Postagram creates and sends it for you! No buying stamps and searching for a mailbox. And it's only 99¢ per card! By sending my first card, I earned 25 credits, which is good for 5 Postagrams. I also earned 1 credit for scanning the QR code at the bottom of the card. There are other ways to earn free credits too, such as inviting friends, or watching the video they have. (If you feel so inclined, you can use my code: http://sincerely.com/u/gqspww to earn us both 5 credits!)

I sent one to myself, just to test it out. They were even nice enough to send me an email (as the sender) telling me when the card was mailed, and then another email telling me it had arrived at the post office of the receiving party and would be delivered in the next day or 2. Pretty swell!

The final product. Coincidentally, taken with Instagram. What if I sent a Postagram of an Instagram pic of a Postagram with an Instagram pic? INCEPTION.
